Governance

Advance Wisconsin Employment is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, a majority of whom represent the private sector, alongside representatives from education, labor, and community-based organizations. The Board oversees the design and delivery of workforce programs across our nine-county region and works in partnership with local Chief Elected Officials, as required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

The Board is supported by an Executive Committee, which handles governance matters between full Board meetings, and operates under Bylaws that set out membership, meeting, and voting procedures.
